Boyzone performed the first of their summer shows in Cork on Sunday, and Stephen was photographed in the Irish city both before and after the show. You can see a couple of pictures of him by clicking below (and also one of him and Ronan):
I've also added a couple more pictures of Stephen in London after their final arena show at the O2 last week, just click below to see them:
Boyzone's live shows are over now until the racecourse concerts at Sandown and Newmarket in August. Speaking on twitter yesterday, Stephen revealed that he's now going away for a few days, so hopefully he'll have fun wherever he's going and enjoys the break - he really deserves the rest and relaxation after the hectic few weeks of the tour!
Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May popped along to see the Boyzone concert at the O2 arena in London on Monday, eager to see their Queen medley live after watching clips of it on You Tube!
He has since posted a fantastic review of the show on his official website here (you'll need to scroll down the page a bit), where he is full of praise for the show and, of course, the medley. He concludes his review by saying: "It's witty and clever ... and a great compliment - we were totally entertained. And it has to be said that there were a few daring top notes from Stephen Gately which would have brought a broad smile to Freddie's lips. Full on! Thanks guys - Rock On, Manzone!"
In the meantime, Stephen has used twitter to pay tribute to another legend - Michael Jackson - who sadly passed away this week. He says: "So sad to hear the news about Michael Jackson. My thoughts are with his family and friends." Of course, Stephen fulfilled a lifelong ambition several years ago when he was lucky enough to meet the man himself. He also joined the rest of Boyzone last year in paying tribute to him by performing a Jackson medley, which went down a storm with fans and critics alike! I'm sure that we all share the same sentiments as Stephen and will keep Michael's family and friends in our thoughts.
Finally, Mikey Graham is now on twitter as well - you can follow him here. He has posted several updates since joining on Thursday, and one particular update revealed that the new Boyzone album will be released in the spring and that they're working with Greg Alexander (from the New Radicals) and Jamie Hartman (from Ben's Brother) on it.
Boyzone's Better tour ended at London's O2 arena last night - and it sounds like a good time was had by all! The highlight sounds like it was when male members of the crew dressed up as the female dancers during Baby Can I Hold You!!
The Boyz seemed to be in party mood after the show last night as they were spotted looking in high spirits on the streets of London as they celebrated the end of the tour with their partners, families and friends!
You can see some pictures of Stephen out celebrating last night by clicking below:
Don't forget though that there are still a few more chances to catch the Boyz live this year as they will be performing in Cork on Sunday and at Sandown and Newmarket Racecourses in August!
The Boyz were interviewed from their hotel on BRMB radio yesterday - click here to listen to the interview (you might need to find a UK postcode to type in if you're trying to listen from outside the UK - google is your friend ).
Boyzone performed in Birmingham last night, where they received a fantastic response from fans and critics alike!
A review in the Express and Star says that they "looked younger than their years, tanned and toned", and also that Stephen's solo "went down a storm", whilst the Birmingham Mail says that one of the favourite moments was Stephen's "brilliantly camped-up" solo!
As always, these reviews do contain spoilers for the show, although I'm not sure whether there's anyone left still trying to avoid spoilers is there?!
Stephen, Ronan and Keith were interviewed backstage at Newcastle arena on Wednesday by Real Radio Northeast, and you can listen to their chat here.
In the meantime, the Boyz are continuing with their Better '09 tour, which finishes next Tuesday. They were in Glasgow on Friday and Saturday and are in Birmingham tonight. The tour has received a great review in Glasgow's Evening Times newspaper, with reviewer Sarah Swain commenting on Stephen's "fantastic" solo. Click here to read the review in full (N.B. does contain spoilers though).
And, finally, don't forget to keep voting Stephen for Mr Twitter Ireland here - he is currently in first place with well over 2000 votes but Nicky from Westlife is catching up so please do keep voting whenever you have a moment! Don't forget that you can vote once every 20 minutes
Stephen has become quite addicted to twitter of late, posting regular updates on what he's been upto - and he's now been nominated in a Mr Twitter Ireland vote on tweeterwall!
So, if Stephen's your Mr Twitter Ireland, then please vote for him here! You can vote for him once every 20 minutes
And don't forget to keep following his updates on twitter - his latest update talks about the mad day he had yesterday where he and Ronan were delayed at Heathrow airport and only just made it to Glasgow for last night's Boyzone show, after being helped by Strathclyde police!!!
There's a great 2 page behind the scenes feature on the Boyz in the new issue of OK! Magazine (issue 678).
This feature includes a number of photos of the Boyz backstage and on stage during their current tour, which I've now added to the gallery.
There is also a brief interview with Ronan about the tour in the magazine, where he reveals an accident that Stephen recently had whilst on stage! Apparently, Stephen's accident happened during the sequence where the Boyz fly through the air on wires. Ronan reveals: "One of Stephen's wires wasn't attached properly one night and he literally fell sideways down onto the stage. He thought the harness had snapped but, thank God, one side was attached. He hurt his arm and was bruised but he's fine now."
The Boyz are continuing to wow audiences and critics alike with the tour - and a particularly good review from their recent show in Nottingham can be found here.
And, whilst we're talking about the tour, a new range of Boyzone merchandise has been uploaded online, which you can view on their official online shop here, although most of it isn't actually in stick yet (although can still be bought at arenas up and down the country prior to their shows).
Don't forget that Stephen's debut feature film has now been released and is available to buy on DVD from Alto Films - it's a fantastic film and well worth buying, not just for Stephen but for the film as a whole
If you've already watched the film and you enjoyed it, then it would be really great if you could rate it on the Internet Movie Database website as it currently only has a rating of 4.3 out of 10 on there and it deserves so much more than that!!
Just click here to rate it - you will need to register first though but it's free and only takes a few seconds. (please note though that a lot of 10/10 ratings might look suspicious - even though I think the film deserves a 10/10! - so perhaps best not to give it a rating of more than 8 or 9 )
If you want to find out more about Credo then you can visit the official website here, and also take a look at the Credo page on here, where you can watch a brief preview clip of the film and also a brief preview clip of Stephen's interview from the DVD extras
Boyzone made an appearance on new BBC1 series Totally Saturday this evening when they met up with three of their biggest fans in a pre recorded segment.
Unfortunately their appearance was quite brief and they didn't really say much though - but I've added this to the Boyzone media page anyway as I'm sure you'll agree that you can never have too much Boyzone!
